ABOUT
Oscar Sedholm is a multitalented sociologist, author of Gïejh / Tracks, and public speaker with sixteen years of experience in developing and leading organizations.
Hi! From developing apps to discussing the in-depth social issues facing the Arctic, I engage in the challenges of today by learning from history. Building bridges and spreading knowledge is the main goal of my work.
I'm going to be honest. I'm a bit different - in a good way. I grew up in a small industrial city in Northern Sweden, and often clashed with what was expected of me. I tried riding, dancing, martial arts, playing saxophone, singing, roleplaying, writing, politics and arts. A far cry from liking loud cars and football, as most of my peers did. And I paid the price by being bullied to varying degrees throughout the whole of my childhood.
I was shaped by passion in the face of adversity. It took me around the world as a youth, as I engaged in international policy work. It landed me as the then youngest representative in the Sámi Parliament of Sweden, where I acted for many years as party secretary for the largest party. It also made me the first person in my family to take a Master's degree. And I am far from done.
I believe in our power to change the world because I myself have had an extraordinary journey so far. Let me inspire you to take charge, and engage with change. Whether it's about Sámi issues, leadership, or organizational development I always have something to contribute.
